BBQ

Ok, after delaying for more than a week, i finally find time to upload the BBQ photos!

Everything went wrong that Sat.

Boonyang & Ruifen were waiting at Mac. Weiqiang tobang my car to East Coast but we went late(cuz I said I won't be going on time, after all I'm not blading whatsoever). & Diana arrived at the pit on time to see nobody there! She said tat pit C7 is damn far away from Mac. So we decided to fetch Boonyang & Ruifen from Mac to the pit, since I'm driving.

& you see, blog is about bursting out secrets, so here it is:

Weiqiang & me actually went the wrong direction & drove to Hougang!!!

Can you imagine tat?!

We were like less than 15mins away from East Coast Park!!!

Weiqiang was talking to Diana on the mobile about the pit location & situations, calling Alan, calling Boonyang, sms-ing to inform the rest about the faraway pit, etc. He couldn't help me read map & we thought we went the right direction when we turned left, where we should turn right. OH MANZ! So now Ruifen & Boonyang, you know why we took more than 15mins to reach Mac!

Apart from this, the food-in-charge - Alan never pick up calls, & there's no food!!! & now we had to drop all plans to get food in time for BBQ.

Anyway, we picked them up at Mac & drove to meet Diana at the pit. Parked the car there & 5 of us walked to NTUC to get food. Since Alan hung our phone calls(play majong play until so late lah! See, cannot wake up on time :P), we had to get everything ourselves. We were like calling here & there to ask those who's still at home to help bring some stuffs so we dun have to buy. However, in the end, we juz bought everything.

Slowly one by one, Chingchen & Janice reached the pit area.
Alan met us at NTUC. & we all went back to get the BBQ started.

Oh ya, do ask Chingchen about her arrival.

She sat at other people's pit & starred at them like they took the wrong pit.

Kekekeke.... ask her for details lah!

Fire of Victory~
Weiqiang & Chingchen fighted to start the fire.
Weiqiang won.

Weiqiang may have started the fire but it's just 'start' only mah.
Chingchen was very proud of her fanning skill, cuz' it got the fire burning wildly~!

Ok, we wanted to have grilled apples & sweet potatoes.
Weiqiang & who ah..Chingchen?? just poured them over the charcoals.
Cannot make it. 哪里有人这样烤苹果和番薯??

Janice, our 'honey girl', manages the honey coating for most of the food.
& Diana, our 'virtue bbq-er', you know, 贤淑, like her chinese name?
Diana will really be a good housewife if you marry her. She cooked most of our food at towards the end of the BBQ & she said she's going to learn bakery with her sister soon.

But the mushrooms were delicious! YUM! I'm HOOKED to grilled Shitake mushrooms!!!

More burnt chicken wings. Alan was commenting that luckily he didn't marinate the chicken wings, if not will heart pain. Waste of effort sia. Hahaha...

Huiching, our friend from Scrawls~, joined us too. She came to celebrate my birthday mah. Haha. Well, she knows Ruifen, me, Shuling, Weiqiang, Alan & I think Boonyang too. Wow.

The satays were actually those ready-to-cook from NTUC. The first batch were a little over-cooked, hence a little hard to bite. But the 2nd bath were soft & yummy! We all secretly relished the good ones while the 'bridge players' ate the slightly hard satays. Buahahaha...
Aiya. Dun say we heartless, we did give a FEW sticks of good ones to them okay.

Shuling arrived the last but is ok, cuz she helped us buy 1kg more of chicken wings.
We thought there wasn't enough food.
